Map-Specific Ambients[edit | edit source]

Areas[edit | edit source]

Name Difficulty Cost Description
The Woods of Turan Choks
The Woods of Turan Choks icon.png
Novice 0 A mild climate and good range of sight make this a great beginner's map. This was the first island explored on the new planet. Turan Choks, named for the captain of the science vessel to discover the planet, is a hilly wooded area populated by a variety of dinosaurs. Dino Hunt Corp. Has allowed access to a new, much larger island in the East and southeastern portions of the map.
Basmachee Rocks
Basmachee Rocks icon.png
Novice 0 This map is a good challenge for beginning hunters. The exact origin of this island remains a mystery. Its unique topography of deserts, mountains, and lakes makes for a challenging area to hunt in. High hills can be a great place to perch in wait, or hide a dinosaur from sight. For many years, this area became off limits by Dino Hunt Corp. due to the Dinosaur population dwindling. However, the population is back up and many new dinosaurs have made residence here. In addition, there are now additional islands Dino Hunt Corp has granted access to.
The Jungles of Gravitsappa
The Jungles of Gravitsappa icon.png
Novice 0 A fantastic area for beginning hunters. Lava-filled cracks show prior seismic activity on this island. The tropical jungles on the rest of the island are teeming with dinosaurs, hiding in the ground mists or around the rolling hills. The bigger island, Gravitsappa Major, was at first deemed too dangerous for hunters due to increased volcanic activity. However, during the last decade the activity subsided, and DinoHunt finally opened it up for the hunters. But be careful; this jungle is still dangerous...
The Ancient Temple
The Ancient Temple icon.png
Intermediate 100 With only a small temple as a safe zone, this is a map for advanced hunters. The whole region is scattered with ruins of an ancient civilization. Hieroglyphics on the walls indicate a worship of the Velociraptor, calling the beast "fast as the wind, with teeth sharper than any blade."
Morrison's Maze
Carnivores-MorrisonMaze.png
Intermediate 100 A vast region of mossy plains, redwood forests and a large desert broken by innumerable mountains. This area is a favorite route for herbivore herds during the annual migrations, attracting many predators seeking a meal. Caution is advised, as numerous disappearances of DinoHunt staff and clients have been reported in the northern forest area.
The Pyramids of Shmu-Hadron
The Pyramids of Shmu-Hadron icon.png
Advanced 500 This is a map for experienced hunters. These Pyramids in the desert terrain of this area were built by a long-gone race, and their use remains unknown. These structures are ideal for hunting and hiding around, but beware; predators can climb the pyramids too.
The Great Lake
The Great Lake icon.png
Expert 1000 For expert hunters only! The giant meteor-made lake in the center is the only obstacle on this barren, desolate island. Dead forests and barren deserts stretch in every direction. The unstable terrain makes this region the most difficult to hunt on the planet. The unwelcoming nature of this area made it a popular hideout for poachers and smugglers.Proceed with caution.
Volcanis
ReloadedVolcanis.png
Expert 2000 When first surveyed by DinoHunt Corp., it was deemed too unstable to be usable. However, upon a second check, DinoHunt Corp. decided to open the island up to the best and most experienced of hunters. The island is host to a high amount of volcanic activity. The volcanic activity is so severe that all plant life is slowly dying. Most of the Northeastern part of the island has already died. The area is covered in pools of lava and an active volcano can be found in the Southeastern portion of the island.
